The city pays 100% of all medical, dental, vision, and life insurance premiums for employees and families. Employees are only responsible for co-pays and deductibles.
The firefighter position performs specialized duty work functions in fire suppression, fire prevention, and emergency response activities. Performs all firefighter duties, including fire suppression and rescue, salvage operation, fire prevention, and building inspection. Maintains readiness for emergency call response for fire, medical emergencies, natural disasters, and other emergencies. Works under the direct supervision of the Fire Captain.
